On 11th June, we’re very excited to be hosting our second tasting event at Good Measure, this time in collaboration with Nikka Whisky as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of Nikka From The Barrel.
Our development chefs have dreamt up a whole new menu for the evening, designed to compliment the flavour profiles of the whiskies being served – Miyagikyo, Yoichi, Coffey Grain and From The Barrel. An expert from Nikka will be on hand to lead the evening and take guests though information on the makers, flavour profiles and whisky making process.
The food menu on the night will feature:
– Barley crackers with kimchi seasoning
– Scallop tartare with apple and lime, spring onion emulsion and wonton crackers
– Maldon oyster with finger lime and yuzu kosho mignonette
– Tempura courgette flower stuffed with prawn and spring onion oil, served with a smoked cream
– Grilled lamb bao with ginger-soy glaze and kimchi slaw
– Wagyu gyoza, truffle and brown butter, salted egg yolk
– Pear, miso caramel and brûlée custard tart
