PAST EVENT | We’re excited to announce that tickets for our next event at Daddy Bao are now live. On Sunday 1st October, we’ll be celebrating our Taiwanese roots with a brand-new feasting menu to honour the Mid-Autumn festival.

Mid-Autumn Festival has been celebrated in Taiwan and across South East Asia for over 3,000 years, as a time for friends and family to come together, feast and give thanks. We will be marking the occasion with a special menu, designed to be shared with those you love.

Our development chefs have been hard at work, dreaming up many new dishes that draw on traditional festival dishes and ingredients but with a unique, Daddy Bao style spin. Outdoor grilling is a tradition for the Mid-Autumn Festival so our three-cup chicken and grilled corn nods to this, both finished on our BBQ for that distinctive flavour. Our tempura fried lotus root stuffed with duck is a take on the classic, typically filled with pork, and served alongside a sweet plum dipping sauce.

The menu will include:

– Oysters with lime leaf oil, pomelo mignonette and granita 

– Three Cup Grilled Chicken Wings | BBQ Corn Ribs

– Duck Stuffed Lotus Root | Black Garlic Aubergine Stuffed Lotus Root

Sichuan Potato Salad

– Taiwanese hot dog or tofu bao with caramelised onion, crispy shallots, mustard mayo and pickled jalapeño

– Crab fried rice | Mushrooms XO Fried Rice

– Pumpkin pie mooncake

The menu will run all day, taking over from our normal service, from lunch through to dinner – we encourage friends and family to come and celebrate together!
