Our Lunar New Year celebration is back at Daddy Bao once again. To mark the ‘Year of the Dragon’ we’ll be serving up a one-off feasting menu that draws on traditions and ingredients said to bring luck for the year ahead – including dumplings for wealth and nian gao, a traditional rice cake, for success – but in Daddy Bao style.

The menu will feature:

Welcome cocktail & lotus root crisps
~
Chicken or cabbage siu mai
Lo pa co with XO sauce
~
Venison & plum or tofu & plum mini bao
Noodle-wrapped prawn or king oyster mushroom with ginger-scallion sauce
~
Roast duck or mapo celeriac
Served with rice, stir fried leeks and crispy kale
~
Add on for £15- whole grilled bream
In a traditional black vinegar sweet & sour sauce, garnished with spring onion, chilli and ginger
~
Fried nian gao with clementine and pandan cream
~
Sesame chocolate truffle

Tickets are £50 for the vegetarian or pescatarian menu and £60 for the normal menu,  with an additional whole grilled bream for the table for £15. We’ve sold out every year so far so be sure to grab yourself a ticket here.

Please email daisy@mrbao.co.uk with any questions. Unfortunately we cannot cater for vegan or gluten free diners at this event.
